Newick Rootz volunteers were at Reedens Meadows this morning, helping the Lewes District Council rangers to plant trees. We planted about 100 "whips" of native trees, such as Oak, Rowan, Hawthorn and Birch, along the perimeter of the site next to Jackies Lane. These will help the hedge to fill in and also replace some diseased Ash trees that will eventually die.

As usual, many hands make light work and an enjoyable and satisfying morning was had by all.
